Jess, a Female Client in her 40’s
I once heard, "If you don't have a life, get a coach.” I did and it
has been life changing. I jumped out of my story and became a part of my journey! Fear of the unknown stopped me dead in my tracks every time but in coaching and with awareness there comes movement. I have discovered how to embrace the awareness and love the movement. Now my my question is "Why fear the unknown as it can be a beautiful thing". I’ve made huge changes in the past year both personally and professionally. Personally, life coaching helped me in all my relationship especially in parenting my teenage son and dealing with my ex-husband. Professionally, I’m a photographer and was immobilized by self doubt and the fear of failure. I’ve made tremendous progress in my confidence and have taken on jobs I would never thought possible a few months ago. I’m now planning my future owning a studio on the waterside of Maine. I’m taking my dream, myself and my talent seriously. I would recommend coaching for EVERYONE.
Karin, coaching peer and client
Diane is a gifted coach who truly listens with her heart & soul to lift you to a more fulfilling and adventurous life. Her strong intuition, creativity and talent with words takes you on a journey to your magnificence. Diane is a caring, alive woman who continues to strive towards her own self-discovery, which in turn moves her clients beyond their capabilities.
Tiffany, client in her 20’sCoaching was such a valuable tool in my quest to hear my own voice and to be curious about myself and the world around me. I discovered how I shut myself down in my career and relationships. I learned to take proactive steps on my own behalf and am now creating the life of my dreams.
Parent
I hired Diane to ‘speed coach’ my daughter four times in 10 days before her interview with a medical board on entrance to their esteemed grad school. She’s extremely shy but I noticed a big difference after the first of the 4 coaching sessions in her level of self confidence and ability to present herself. Not only did the coaching give her specific skills in interviewing, but it reduced her anxiety tremendously. She was literally walking taller and was so much more self assured. I could tell in just how she carried herself. In a short time, the coaching process really helped her get in touch with all that she had to offer to others both as a person and as a potential student and future doctor some day.

Permanent change cannot be
made without a plan. The SMART method transforms any goal into a do-able
commitment
Specific
Manageable
Accountable
Reasonable
Thrilling
Example: John wanted to write a book of his world travels and all the people he
had met. With his many other responsibilities he decided he could invest 6
hours of writing (reasonable) a week. He committed to writing three times
(specific) weekly from 6-8 a.m. (manageable) while listening to his favorite
music (thrilling) and
emailed his coach on his progress (accountable).
Did you know that people are motivated to CHANGE for ONLY two reasons?
1.) Inspiration
2.) Pain
Inspiration comes in many ways. People are inspired to change because a friend meets a goal; they hear a motivational speaker or sermon, join a self help group, read a personal growth book or pray and meditate.
Pain
is a great motivator because it tells us we’ve had enough. We’ve hit rock
bottom or things have become so bad or so out of control, we realize something
has to change. We learned the ‘hard way’ and are left to face the painful
consequences of unconscious choices. C.S. Lewis wrote, Pain is the megaphone
from God. When attempts of inspiration have gone untapped, pain gets our
attention. What types of pain have caused you to make a radical change?
Are you primarily motivated by inspiration or pain?
